I recently had the opportunity to experience Aurora Spa Retreats, visiting two of their ‘luxury urban spa’ locations across Australia. Ummm, hello! #girlbossperks
At Aurora’s location on the top floor of the Prince Hotel in Melbourne’s St Kilda (where I shot my Spring fashion story), I chose the signature Kitya Karnu steam treatment. A sublimely decadent massage in my own private steam room, complete with facial, exfoliating scrub, hair masque and hot stone ritual. Returning to the relaxation lounge in what can only be described as ‘Blissed-Out-Zombie mode’ (that’s totally a thing) I gathered my senses over a cup of herbal tea while rays of dappled sunshine filtered through the floor to ceiling windows revealing a unique view of the city skyline. It was the perrrrfect de-stress. I left with samples from the bespoke Australian-made Aspar range and a renewed appreciation for how important it is to take time for ourselves and especially time to reconnect our body, mind and spirit.
The second Aurora Spa hotel location (you can also find them in Qantas’ first and business class lounges in Sydney and Melbourne as well as Aspar products in the Kate Spade inflight amenity kits for Qantas‘ international business class travellers) is equally self-indulgent, enveloped by 5-star luxury within the heart of fashion hotel Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast. Unfortunately, although I stayed at Palazzo a few months ago I actually ran out of time to book myself into the spa – so it’s on my to-do list for 2016!
Now, I wonder if Aurora are tempted to open a spa in the recently completed Palazzo Versace Dubai? ;) That would be something to look forward to!
How long has it been since you were last properly pampered?
