Last Friday night, just before sunset, Spell & The Gypsy Collective launched their October/November 2015 collection – aptly entitled SUNSET ROAD. Spilling out of the sun-bleached Byron Bay storefront onto the footpath amidst a sea of beautiful prints, live music and good champagne, it was certainly the place to kick off the long weekend.
I spoke to Spell sister Lizzy about the background to their latest collection and we got silly on Periscope (hands up – who else is playing around on Periscope? My username is the same as my insta and twitter: @ambermelody if you would like to connect!).
Inspired by All-American road-trippin’ fantasies ala Thelma & Louise, the new collection features eagle prints, tasseled white leather, bold Americana (think stars and stripes) with a heavy Seventies edge and lots of white cotton and lace.
So, enjoy your virtual glass of Veuve… it’s time to look around.
Personally, I think my favourite pieces are the backless Frill Maxi in Royal, the Too Far From Texas tee (not shown in this post – it was one of the outfits Lizzy talked us through on Periscope), and the wrap skirts but once you see übermodel Erin Wasson ABSOLUTELY BABE-ing in the full collection (click here) it starts being impossible to decide.
So, I’d love to know what your wish list looks like. Tell me in the comments below!
